What businesses or types of businesses do you want to see come to the Western Slope of El Dorado County: Placerville, Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, and Diamond Springs, that are currently lacking?
With my free time, I have been studying retail patterns and where businesses tend to locate at, studying the demographics of all the areas of the state and the country and what businesses tend to be profitable in those markets. From doing all this research, I have discovered some things our area has been lacking that I believe other areas similar to our area are able to support successfully. Here are a few that I have listed out and I would encourage you to vote for what of these types of businesses you would want to come to the west slope of El Dorado County.
· An arts and crafts store (i.e. Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, or a locally owned business)
· A department store (i.e. Kohl's, JCPenney, or McCaulous)
· A membership warehouse club (i.e. Costco or Sam's Club)
· A Christian book store
· A Mediterranean cuisine (Greek or Middle Eastern food)
· A discount clothing store for Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills area (i.e. Ross or TJ Maxx)
· More micro hotels (i.e. Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn and Suites, or Fairfield Inn and Suites)
