   Starbucks Coffee in the Rocklin Crossings in Rocklin, California is now open!  It is located at Pad 8 at the Rocklin Crossings Shopping Center.  Starbucks Coffee serves lots of different snacks such as:

Starbucks Coffee in the Rocklin Crossings on September 25^th 2014.  This is exciting news for Starbucks Coffee, Rocklin Crossings, and Rocklin.  Starbucks Coffee in the Rocklin Crossings is creating jobs for the town.  I got to visit this Starbucks Coffee when we were in Rocklin.  Starbucks Coffee has 9 locations including this location in Rocklin. Starbucks Coffee’s two other brick and mortar locations in East Rocklin located at 4819 Granite Dr B, 10 & 11 in the Rocklin Square Shopping Center, and 5070 Rocklin Road near Sierra College. Starbucks Coffee has a location in the recently opened Target at Rocklin Commons. Rocklin Commons shoppers have a new place to get snacks and drinks. Rocklin Commons plans to open a Bass Pro Shops, Great Clips, PetSmart, Panda Express, and Beach Hut Deli at the property. I am pleased and excited about Starbucks Coffee opening at the Rocklin Crossings.

The Ford Ice Center in Antioch is now open!

    The Ford Ice Center in Antioch(a suburb of Nashville), Tennessee is now open! It is located at 5264 Hickory Hollow Place next to the Global Mall at the Crossing: http://www.globalmallatthecrossings.com/. The Ford Center has offers different programs such as:

• ·         The Adult League program
• ·         The Learn to Skate program
• ·         The Youth League program

The Ford Ice Center in Antioch opened on September 12^th 2014. The Nashville Predators play their practice games at The Ford Center. This is exciting news for the Ford Ice Center, Global Mall at the Crossings, and Antioch! The Ford Ice Center is creating jobs for the town. I first heard about the hockey rink opening by the Nashville Post: https://www.nashvillepost.com/taxonomy/term/18075. The size of the Ford Ice Center is 86,000 square feet. Before this hockey rink opened, the closest Hockey Rink near Antioch was the Bridgestone Arena (the home of the Nashville Predators). Nashville area residents and tourists have a new hockey rink to visit. The Ford Ice Center is owned by the Metropolitan Sports Authority. This is part of a redevelopment project of the old JCPenney store which plans to also include a library/community center and a park. I am pleased and excited about the Ford Ice Center opening in Antioch. Nordstrom at the Chinook Centre in Calgary is now open!

   Nordstrom at the Chinook Centre in Calgary, Alberta is now open! It is in the former Sears located at 6455 Macleod Trail Southwest in the Chinook Centre Mall. Nordstrom offers their customers:

·         Women’s clothing

·         Men’s clothing

·         Shoes

·         Handbags

·         Accessories

·         Beauty

·         Designer’s clothing

·         Junior’s clothing

·         Kid’s clothing

·         Specialty Items

Nordstrom in Calgary opened on September 19^th 2014. This is exciting news for Nordstrom, Chinook Centre, and Calgary! Nordstrom in Calgary is creating jobs for the town. I first heard about Nordstrom opening in Calgary by a Google Images picture: http://www.edmontonjournal.com/business/based+retailer+Nordstrom+announce/7226150/story.html.  The size of this Nordstrom is 134,976 square feet. Chinook Centre is planning to use the remaining 40,000 square feet of the old Sears for four to six new retailers.  Before this location opened, the closest Nordstrom near Calgary was Spokane, Washington. This is Nordstrom’s first location in Canada. Chinook Centre has gone thru several changes over the years:

1960-Chinook Centre opened with Woodward’s, Holt Renfrew, a bowling alley, and a Calgary Public Library branch.

1974-Mall expanded to next door Southridge Mall.

1980’s-Two level mall expansion opened with Bretton’s, a movie theater, and a food court.

Early 1990’s-Movie theatre left and was replaced by a large arcade.

Late 1990’s-Chinook Centre underwent a $300 million renovation with new locations for Sears, The Bay, and Zellers open.

2010-a 180,000 square feet expansion opened with Abercrombie & Fitch, Apple Store, Coach, Michael Kors, and more.

2012-Zellers and Sears left, Target announces plans to open a store in the old Zellers location, Nordstrom announces plans to open a store in the old Sears location.

2013-Chinook Centre LRT Station closes for renovations in January 2013 and reopened in September 2013, Target opened at the mall on May 6^th 2013.

2014, Nordstrom opened on September 19^th 2014.

Calgary residents have a new place to buy clothing. I am pleased and excited about Nordstrom opening at the Chinook Centre. Chinook Centre has 250 retailers, a 17 screen cinema, Canada’s busiest and highest grossing food court. It has 1,220,514 square feet. Chinook Centre is owned by Cadillac Fairview.
