Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World is finally coming to San Jose,
CA! It will be on the northeast corner
of State Route 85 and Almaden Expressway, that is currently Almaden Farm. It
will open in 2015 along with a shopping center. This store will have about 275 employees.
This will likely become a destination that could draw visitors from a wide area
into the South Bay. This will also create hundreds of new jobs. Bass Pro Shops
will feature a bowling alley with an underwater theme intended to make people
feel like there on a ocean floor. The Outdoor World part of the store will
feature a showroom for fishing boats, and will sell hunting, fishing, and
outdoor gear. The closest Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World near San Jose is in the Orchard
Valley Shopping Center in Manteca. San Jose, Milpitas, Santa Clara, Mountain
View, and Campbell residents will have a new place to get outdoor
gear. It will be in the new Almaden Ranch Shopping Center. There will be other
stores and restaurants in Almaden Ranch.
