Long Planned Walmart in Elk Grove is finally open today!  It looks a lot like a Target more than a Walmart. But it is built as Walmart from ground up.  It is really nice to have a 2^nd Walmart in Elk Grove, CA. It was originally going to be Target until 2008 when Walmart bought land. If Target did open where the new Walmart’s at it would’ve killed the Target on Laguna Blvd. It’s in the Vineyards of Maderia Shopping Center.  It’s located at 10075 Bruceville Rd., Elk Grove, CA. If Target wants a second store in Elk Grove it will probably be in the half built Elk Grove Promenade with a Macy’s, JCPenney, and Cinemark. Walmart is thinking about expanding the Elk Grove Blvd. store.
