Target locations that have yet to be remodeled as of 1/15/2024. Are these locations getting remodeled or is this Target's secret closure list??

 

Picture of the Target in San Bernardino, California. Still with the pre-2017 design last I have heard. Please tell me if this one has received a remodel, or is going to receive a remodel.

Here is my list of Non-remodeled (latest remodel was before 2017 or when Target unveiled their newest design) Target locations. Anything that has an older design than their mid 2000s to early 2010s design is mentioned in parenthesis and if a location has the pre-2017 design, but is a new location, I have the date mentioned of when it opened). I have my own commentary for the locations that I am more familiar with. I mainly created this list because I am seeing places that Target is still in that all the other retailers have closed up shop and moved elsewhere (for example, Orange Show Road in San Bernardino, California, the Fiesta Mall area of Mesa, Arizona (which has amazing received the newest remodel), and etc.). And places that have too few people to possibly support a Target, but manage to do it (for example, the Rocklin Commons in California which has 22,897 people in its trade area, but has a bunch of retail surrounding it, and is a a new store that has received the newest remodel package). Can you please tell me how Target decides where to open new stores at that have way fewer people in them than a normal Target sized market (75,000 people and greater is what I heard). And are the locations that still operate in a dead retail area or that manage to have escaped the 2010s and 2020s remodels the locations primed for closure?? Just wondering.

3150 Joe Treadwell Dr, Mobile, AL 36606 (has P97 look) (part of a somewhat mediocre Indoor mall. What is the story behind this one?? Were they going to build a new two story store on top of this one, but it never happened??)

1000 Commerce Ave, Atwater, CA 95301 (opened in 2008) (market has 50,000 people and is next to Merced with 100,000 people. And the area isn't exactly a high income area either, with the average income of Atwater being $60,352 which isn't exactly bad for that area. But isn't particularly high. But the store is a Super Target, so people in Merced may be more apt to shopping at this one because of having more selection. Is that true??)

2700 Bell Rd, Auburn, CA 95603 (sandwiched in between their new Grass Valley store, and their store in Rocklin that I explained earlier. But I am guessing this one is a successful location because they wouldn't open a store up the hill in Grass Valley to kill this location. And it always seems busy every time I see it.)
