Hayden's Westfield Oakridge Redevelopment/Expansion Proposal 925 Blossom Hill Rd, San Jose, CA 95123

These drawings are my proposal for a redevelopment/expansion of the Westfield Oakridge Mall in San Jose, CA. It is located at 925 Blossom Hill Road 7.0 miles from Downtown San Jose and 9.7 miles from Mineta San Jose International Airport. It is thriving with lots of amazing stores and restaurants such as Macy's, Target, Sears, Apple Store, H&M, Forever 21, Nordstrom Rack, PF Changs, The Cheesecake Factory, Old Navy, California Pizza Kitchen, and BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, to name a few.

My proposal would include:

·         downsizing and remodeling Sears

·         Redevelop the north side of Sears

·         Add two restaurants American Girl and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers

·         Add a sporting goods store similar to Sports Authority.

I believe there is a high demand for an expansion of Westfield Oakridge.

Demographics for a expansion of Westfield Oakridge:

Population of San Jose: 1,000,536 people

Population of Santa Clara County: 1,862,000 people

Population of San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland Bay Area Metro: 4,516,276 people

If approved, My proposal for an expansion would create jobs for the town. The latest expansion of the Westfield Oakridge was in 2003 when it added the South Wing with PF Changs, BJ's Brewhouse, Ethan Allen, Target, Apple Store, The Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, and Century Theaters as some of the stores in the wing. It has continued to add new stores and restaurants to the mall since such as Chipotle, Smashburger, Got Sleep?, Michael Kors, and Billy Beez. Westfield Oakridge has a website: http://www.westfield.com/oakridge/ and a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WestfieldOakridge for more information about the mall. Thank You for reading my proposal!

Hayden's True Find Books and Art Gallery Proposal 379 Coloma Road (State Route 49), Coloma, CA 95613

This drawing is my proposal for a restoration of the big yellow building in Coloma, CA. It is located at 379 Coloma Road (State Route 49) 0.5 miles from Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park and Downtown Coloma. I saw this empty yellow building and my Mom thought of an idea to restore that building. I decided to draw a plan for the building. My plan includes restoring the exterior and interior and making it a bookstore/art gallery for Coloma. If approved, this restoration would create jobs and help tourists stay longer in Coloma. Coloma is a town that the people during the Gold Rush lived in and still draws many people to El Dorado County, Placerville, and Coloma today. 529 people currently live in Coloma. Thanks for reading my blogpost about my proposal!
