Cameron Park has finally landed Grocery Outlet Bargain Market. Grocery Outlet opened on October 26th 2023 with great fanfare, which I have noticed from the large crowds shopping there during my visit four days later. These crowds are a good indicator that the community has been longing for a discount grocery store to open for a long time, since the closest Grocery Outlets to Cameron Park are in Folsom, which is 11 miles away and in Placerville which is 15 miles away, and the three grocery stores operating in Cameron Park are traditional supermarkets- Fork Lift (Nugget Markets), Safeway, and Bel Air (Raley's) and the closest discount grocery store is Costco in Folsom 10 miles away. So, for being a Cameron Park resident, I believe having Grocery Outlet will be a great benefit for grocery shopping, because both Grocery Outlets are kind of far away to get to for grocery shopping and even though Folsom is a place we visit regularly, we shop at Costco and once we are finished shopping at Costco, we are tired and Grocery Outlet seems like more of a chore to get to because it is on the other side of Folsom from Costco.
But even though we have visited Grocery Outlet many times, to be honest, I am always surprised when I visit Grocery Outlet. After having so many experiences shopping there and for having many food allergies, I have noticed they have been hit and miss on carrying our groceries and then when I visit them again after a while, I am always pleasantly surprised at how many groceries we are able to find there and how low their prices are compared to the other grocery stores in town. I think having a Grocery Outlet in Cameron Park will be a great help for our grocery shopping trips and for generating tax revenue for the community keeping shopping local!!
Where is the new location at?? It is located at 3040 Green Valley Rd in the shopping center with Starbucks, CVS Pharmacy, and Kovar's Martial Arts a few blocks down from Bass Lake Road.
