Hayden’s HomeGoods Proposal 4847 East Ray Road, Phoenix, Arizona 95044

This drawing is a proposal of HomeGoods in Phoenix, Arizona. It would be in the former Barnes and Noble. The address is 4847 East Ray Road in the Ahwatukee Foothills Towne Center. I chose this location for Ahwatukee Foothills Village’s first HomeGoods because it would be in the large shopping center and high traffic area. I feel that there’s a high demand for HomeGoods in the South Phoenix area.
Demographics for a HomeGoods in Ahwatukee Foothills Village:
Population of Ahwatukee Foothills Village: 77,249
Population of Phoenix: 1,513,367
Population of Maricopa County: 4,009,412
Population of the Phoenix/Mesa area: 4,398,762
HomeGoods offers their customers:
·         Furniture
·         Lighting
·         Rugs
·         Wall Décor and Mirrors
·         Home Accents
·         Seasonal Décor
·         Garden and Floral
·         Gifts
·         Bedding supplies
·         Bath supplies
·         Kids items
·         Storage supplies
·         Dining supplies
·         Pet supplies
·         Kitchen essentials
If approved, my proposal for a HomeGoods would create jobs for the town. It would also attract new tenants to the shopping center. The size of HomeGoods would be 25,000 square feet. The owner of this shopping center is DDR. DDR plans to renovate shopping centers by replace older anchor stores with new anchor stores to get more value to its properties: http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/05/ddr_aims_to_upgrade_anchor_sto.html .  The closest HomeGoods near Ahwatukee Foothills Village is Chandler.
