The El Dorado County Sheriff's Department has finally broken ground to start working on their new facility. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on March 30th 2018 at 11:00am on the land at 200 Industrial Drive in Diamond Springs. It was a meaningful small-town community event with big names in attendance including State Senator Ted Gaines, County Supervisors Mike Ranalli and Brian Veerkamp, Sheriff John D. Agostini, and representatives from the offices of Congressman Tom McClintock and Assemblyman Frank Bigelow. They talked about the need for this new facility and what it would do for the department. At the ceremony, I also saw some of my friends who volunteer with the Sheriff Explorers. I saw an old friend who has become a new chaplain, and I also met Sheriff D'Agostini's parents. It was a monumental event for this community that was optimistic and enthusiastic about the new facility for our community's sheriff department. I was glad that I was able to attend the groundbreaking for this new facility. I hope that they can work on this new project  soon because it would be a huge help for the community and our sheriff department, LORD willing.

The chaplain at the ceremony prayed that God would bless the project and He quoted from Psalms 127:1 in his prayer:  Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain, unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

Hayden's Business Blog's 5th Anniversary!! My visit to a lovely new coffee shop in Placerville

My family and I visited a new coffee shop in Placerville called Love Birds Coffee and Tea. It is located at 1390 Broadway in Placerville next to the UPS Store and across the street from Jimboy's Tacos and Weinerschnitzel.
This new coffee shop serves:
·         Coffee which specially comes from single farms and co-ops
·         Tea
·         Pastries, most of which are homemade
This new shop has been open in this space since May of 2017 and the shop was originally located at the Smith Flat House. We visited this shop a few days ago and on our visit, we had a surprising encounter with two of our friends. While we were there, we heard about their  Bible study fellowship lesson and we read scriptures and talked about this new coffee shop. My friend talked about why she likes this new coffee shop. She said that due to its Christian owners, it's an inviting place to have a Bible study in a quiet environment. She's been coming here for six months and her favorite drink so far is the Hazelnut Latte. At the shop, the theme is the romantic Italian waterfront village with red and white checkered tablecloths showing their customers to love one another. The owners of the shop are Jasmin and Garrett Sanders, who are the Love Birds with 2 baby birdies that started this shop. This is their story about why they started this shop: https://www.lovebirdscoffeeandtea.com/our-story. I loved my visit this shop and that they serve the community with love and coffee. I hope that I can visit this shop again and I hope that you can visit it also!!
The hours at this new coffee shop are:
Monday-Friday:  5:30am-4:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am-4:00pm
Love Birds Coffee and Tea has a website for more information about this cute coffee shop: www.LoveBirdsCoffeeAndTea.com

Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? And He said to them, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and the first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."                                                            Matthew 22:36-40
