Want bargains? New thrift store is now open in Placerville!

                Goodwill in Placerville, California is now open! The store is located at 3868 Forni Road across the street from Walmart and next to Walgreens.

Goodwill offers their customers many items to purchase such as:

·         Clothing- Men's, Women's, and Kid's clothes

·         Books

·         Shoes

·         Electronics

·         Movies and Music

·         Housewares

The new Goodwill store in Placerville opened on October 13th 2016. This location is the 28th Goodwill in the Northern California/Northern Nevada region. I visited this store on their opening day and the store is new and clean in the inside. My first visit to Goodwill in Placerville, I met the manager and talked with him about the new store. In previous experiences at Goodwill, I have found many geography books at their stores that I've enjoyed reading. If you are looking at thrift stores to shop at in El Dorado County, I would recommend visiting the Placerville Goodwill.

A new sports store comes to town!

                  Folsom Sports Ltd., owned by Tahoe Sports Ltd, is now open! The store is located at 850 East Bidwell St in the former Bases Loaded space, which is next to Trader Joe's in Folsom. Folsom Sports Limited sells at their store:

·         Biking and Climbing gear

·         Fishing gear

·         Skiing equipment

·         Paddle boats and boards

·         Camping gear

·         Clothing- Shoes, Shirts, and Baseball hats

Folsom Sports Ltd. opened on Labor Day Weekend of 2016. I went to the store when it opened and It's an inviting store with all their sporting goods equipment. The employees are friendly and willing to talk to you. While in Folsom, I would recommend stopping by to visit Folsom Sports Ltd. to check out their latest sports equipment. Hayden's visit to new sporting goods store in Folsom

I am going to tell you about my visit to Dick's Sporting Goods in Folsom.

First off where is it located?  It is located at 1003 East Bidwell Street in Folsom in the former Save Mart building in the Willow Creek Shopping Center. 

What do they offer their customers?    Dick's Sporting Goods offers their customers:

·         Apparel

·          Shoes for Women, Men, and Kids

·          Accessories from GoPro's to Drones and from Backpacks to Water Bottles

·          Supplies for Sports such as Baseball, Golf, Hunting and Shooting, Fishing, and lot's more.

When did they open?    They had their grand opening celebration on April 24th, 2016.

Now, I am going to get into my own experience. It was a very fun store!! I really enjoyed the pictures of the mountains on the walls. I really liked that they have a little putting green to practice golf. I thought it was a nice store overall!! Attention bargain hunters: There's a new thrift store in South Lake Tahoe!!

Goodwill in South Lake Tahoe is now open!!  It is located at 1069 Emerald Bay Road in the former Pier 1 Imports building across the street from the Kmart shopping center.

 Goodwill offers their customers many things at cheap prices such as:

·         Women's clothing

·         Men's clothing

·         Books

·         Shoes

·         Movies and CDs

·         Electronics

·         Furniture

The Goodwill in South Lake Tahoe had its grand opening celebration on July 21st 2016. I got to visit this Goodwill location when we were in South Lake Tahoe and it is a pretty nice Goodwill. It has a nice exterior and it is a well organized store. If you visit South Lake Tahoe and you want to go to a thrift store, don't forget to check Goodwill!! Local Christian mentoring business has a new home!!

   Local Christian mentoring business Jesus Our Boss or J.O.B. has a new home!! It is located at 6070 Enterprise Drive in Diamond Springs, California nearby the Lord's Gym. I got to visit J.O.B. recently and got a tour of the business. It is a really cool place!! You can do many things with them such as:

·         Become a Mentor- They will train Mentors in a family oriented process, designed to help people cope with ups and downs of daily life. The Mentors will use a multi-skill curriculum that mirrors many skills used in everyday life.

·         Become a Jesus Our Boss Client- J.O.B. Clients work with mentors in a family-oriented process, designed to help them cope with the ups and downs of daily life.

·         Mentor House- These houses are intended to provide the individual with a successful transition to independent living.

We are friends with a person who works at Jesus Our Boss. We helped with a Texas BBQ Fundraiser that they held a couple years ago.  If you get a chance to see Jesus Our Boss, I would definitely recommend them!! They also have a website: www.jesusourboss.com

Finding bargains at the Rack in Folsom!!

 

Nordstrom Rack in Folsom is now open!! It is located at 440 Palladio Parkway in the north side of Palladio at Broadstone Shopping Center facing the intersection of East Bidwell and Broadstone Pkwy. Nordstrom Rack offers their customers:

·         Women's clothes

·         Shoes

·         Handbags and Accessories

·         Men's clothes

·         Kid's clothes

·         Home decor

I finally got to visit the Nordstrom Rack in Folsom yesterday and it's definitely a discount clothing store. It is a pretty cool place if you want nice clothes but don't want to break the bank!!

Our experience at a fun Gluten free bakery in Bellingham

I am going to talk about our experience at a fun gluten free bakery in Bellingham called Angel's Bakery and Cafe. It is located in Bellingham, Washington at 4260 Cordata Parkway. They have on their menu foods from scones to sandwiches to waffles. I really enjoyed their waffles and their cinnamon rolls which both tasted really good!! The food was so good there that we ate there 4 times!

·         The first time I ate waffles w/ eggs and bacon for lunch before we saw Mt Baker and Mt Shuksan.

·         The second time we ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast before we went to Whidbey Island

·         The third time we got some muffins to take with us to North Cascades National Park

·         The fourth and final time we ate there on our trip was to get sandwiches and chips to eat on the road to the Boeing Factory in Everett

I would recommend this restaurant if you are going on vacation to Northwest Washington or have friends and family in the Bellingham area. Thank you for reading my blogpost!!
