New place to buy books in the local area!

              Barnes and Noble in Folsom, California is now open!!  It is located at 280 Palladio Pkwy at Building 913 in the Palladio at Broadstone shopping center.

Barnes and Noble offers their customers:

·         CDs/Vinyl

·         Movies

·         Toys

·         Gifts

Barnes and Noble opened its Folsom location in December 2016. This Folsom location is actually a new design for the bookstore and is one out of the three that have a restaurant which is called B&N Kitchen, which serves meals from Sandwiches and Salads to Burgers and Breakfast. 

While was in the Palladio area, I visited this store and looked at geography books that interest me.                                                                                          

 I think this store is nice to look around, read some books, and study things that are of interest.

Hours for Folsom store:

Sunday-Thursday:  9am to 10pm

Friday and Saturday: 9am to 11pm

There's a new place to golf in the region!

      

                      Top Golf in Roseville, California is now open!  It is located at 1700 Freedom Way off of Highway 65 southwest of  RC Willey.

  TopGolf offers their customers:

·         A Restaurant- which serves Burgers, Sandwiches, Salads, etc.

·         A golf course which beginners to experts can play at, even in the rain!

·         Opportunities to host an event, meeting, or parties

TopGolf in Roseville opened in the summer of 2016. I finally visited Top Golf on a rainy day in January.  I really enjoyed seeing the golf course, the people, and the whole business. The Roseville TopGolf is a fun place to play golf especially with overcast skies, to eat a meal, and to socialize with other people.

TopGolf has currently has 28 USA locations in 15 states and 11 locations coming soon. The Roseville location is currently the only TopGolf in California. TopGolf has a website: http://topgolf.com/us/ for more information about the entertainment center.

My awesome experience with Joey Travolta's Inclusion Films

            This blogpost is about my experience with Joey Travolta's Inclusion Films. On December 20th, 2016, I was blessed to sing the National Anthem with a barbershop quartet called Backroads and the Holmes Orchestra at a Sacramento Kings game. It was such an awesome experience meeting Joey Travolta and his film crew. I really enjoyed singing Barbershop songs to all the Inclusion Films employees, and talking with them.

At Inclusion Films, they teach young adults who have special needs the ability to make films. After the students make the film, they are encouraged to seek employment from other movie producers. By producing films, the students can become more independent and self confident individuals.  Inclusion Films will be creating a film about my experience that will be featured in April for Autism awareness month at the King's game.  The NBA is also a sponsor of this film.

Visiting the Grand Canyon from a different perspective!!

 

 

               

                 Earlier this month, I went on a tour of the Grand Canyon with my family. The tour we took was with Canyon Ministries which gives guided tours of Grand Canyon from a Christian perspective. Our tour started at Williams where we boarded a bus with our tour guides, and drove to see the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It was cold and snowy on the top of the South Rim, but the tour bus was warm and cozy. We saw Yavapai Point which is the main overlook of the Grand Canyon, and Desert Point which overlooks the Colorado River and the desert next to it. It was a fun, entertaining, and educational tour. My favorite thing on the tour was experiencing the awe of the Grand Canyon while learning God's word from our tour guide, John.  I learned from John about the geology of the canyon. He talked about how Noah's Flood laid down the rock layers and the bursting of a post-Flood lake (not the Colorado River) that carved the canyon. It is truly an awesome place that speaks of the amazing holiness and grace of God!

Want bargains? New thrift store is now open in Placerville!

                Goodwill in Placerville, California is now open! The store is located at 3868 Forni Road across the street from Walmart and next to Walgreens.

Goodwill offers their customers many items to purchase such as:

·         Clothing- Men's, Women's, and Kid's clothes

·         Books

·         Shoes

·         Electronics

·         Movies and Music

·         Housewares

The new Goodwill store in Placerville opened on October 13th 2016. This location is the 28th Goodwill in the Northern California/Northern Nevada region. I visited this store on their opening day and the store is new and clean in the inside. My first visit to Goodwill in Placerville, I met the manager and talked with him about the new store. In previous experiences at Goodwill, I have found many geography books at their stores that I've enjoyed reading. If you are looking at thrift stores to shop at in El Dorado County, I would recommend visiting the Placerville Goodwill.

A new sports store comes to town!

                  Folsom Sports Ltd., owned by Tahoe Sports Ltd, is now open! The store is located at 850 East Bidwell St in the former Bases Loaded space, which is next to Trader Joe's in Folsom. Folsom Sports Limited sells at their store:

·         Biking and Climbing gear

·         Fishing gear

·         Skiing equipment

·         Paddle boats and boards

·         Camping gear

·         Clothing- Shoes, Shirts, and Baseball hats

Folsom Sports Ltd. opened on Labor Day Weekend of 2016. I went to the store when it opened and It's an inviting store with all their sporting goods equipment. The employees are friendly and willing to talk to you. While in Folsom, I would recommend stopping by to visit Folsom Sports Ltd. to check out their latest sports equipment. Hayden's visit to new sporting goods store in Folsom

I am going to tell you about my visit to Dick's Sporting Goods in Folsom.

First off where is it located?  It is located at 1003 East Bidwell Street in Folsom in the former Save Mart building in the Willow Creek Shopping Center. 

What do they offer their customers?    Dick's Sporting Goods offers their customers:

·         Apparel

·          Shoes for Women, Men, and Kids

·          Accessories from GoPro's to Drones and from Backpacks to Water Bottles

·          Supplies for Sports such as Baseball, Golf, Hunting and Shooting, Fishing, and lot's more.

When did they open?    They had their grand opening celebration on April 24th, 2016.

Now, I am going to get into my own experience. It was a very fun store!! I really enjoyed the pictures of the mountains on the walls. I really liked that they have a little putting green to practice golf. I thought it was a nice store overall!!
