Sacramento Kings to get a new "kingdom" in Downtown Sacramento!

Sacramento Kings NBA Team working on building new arena in Downtown Sacramento, California! It is proposed to be on the site of the former Downtown Plaza located at 547 L Street  near K Street. The project broke ground on October 29th 2014 and is planned to open in October 2016. This is exciting news for the Kings, Downtown, and the Sacramento region! The project will create jobs for the town. The construction company is Turner Construction which built the beautiful Terminal B at Sacramento International Airport and Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara to name a few. The architect is AECOM which designed the One World Trade Center in New York City and 31st Street Harbor in Chicago to name a few.  The project will cost $477 million dollars. The Sacramento Kings currently play at Sleep Train Arena in Natomas. This is an amazing project and I think it will help Downtown Sacramento! The Sacramento Kings have a website: http://www.nba.com/kings/ and a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sacramentokings for more information about the team.
