It features a 12-foot vertical ramp, a 10-foot-deep bowl, a Texas star-shaped bowl, and a “lazy river” style pathway accessible to even the most inexperienced skateboarders. Spring Skate Park opened on August 14th 2014. I found out about this new skate park on The Houston Chronicle: http://www.chron.com/neighborhood/springtx/article/Largest-skatepark-in-North-America-opens-in-5689531.php. The size of the skate park is 78,000 square feet, which is North America’s largest skate park. The architect company which designed this skate park is Grindline. Houston residents and tourists have a new place to skateboard. I am pleased and excited to see a new skate park has opened in Houston.
