That is a lot of history. Now lets talk about the redevelopment which was announced in 2009. It replaced the old terminal buildings with a new single terminal building. I got to visit the new terminal when we visited Texas and it was a nice terminal! It has 15 new stores, 21 new restaurants, an Art and History Museum, and a Kid’s Play Area. It also remodeled its departures and arrivals building with a new conference center building, baggage claim, and check-in counters. Dallas Love Field opened Phase 1 in 2012 and Phase 2 of the project in 2014. As result of the redevelopment, Southwest Airlines is adding more nonstop destinations from Love Field, and Virgin America moved from DFW Airport to Love Field. I first heard about Dallas Love Field remodeling from Google Maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Dallas+Love+Field+Airport/@32.848103,-96.851206,2502m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xea741a5750bb2386. Dallas area residents now have an airport with a nice terminal. I am pleased and excited about the Dallas Love Field redevelopment project.
